01AQUARIUM FILTERS & PUMPS
Coconut Shell Purity for Water Systems
A quiet workhorse for any filtration system, this granular carbon transforms raw water or air into a clearer, purer medium. Sourced from the dense shells of coconuts, it offers a refined approach to purification that is both robust and precise.
Designed for aquatic centres, industrial plants and home systems, it adsorbs small molecular weight organics, pesticides and chlorine. It suits those who value long-lasting performance and consistent clarity in their fluid environments.

02MATERIALS
Dense Coconut Shell Origin
The material begins as coconut shell, steam-activated to create a vast internal surface area. This process yields a granular structure with a specific gravity of 1200, ensuring the particles remain distinct and effective. The origin provides a natural foundation for high-capacity adsorption without synthetic additives.

04PRACTICAL DETAILS
Precise Particle Specifications
Each pellet falls within the 6 x 12 mesh range, measuring between 1.6 and 2.00mm. A uniformity coefficient of less than 1.4 indicates a consistent particle distribution, which prevents channeling in filter vessels. The 10kg product arrives in an 11kg packing carton, ready for direct integration into existing filtration setups.
05LONGEVITY
Sustained Service Through Backwashing
Unlike disposable filters, this granular media can be regularly backwashed to extend its life. In many applications, the carbon does not require replacement until it is fully exhausted, a period that may span several years. This durability makes it a practical choice for continuous flow systems where maintenance intervals are critical.

Applications
Air Filtration Volatiles Organic (VOC’s):
The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the air source being treated. The carbon adsorbs the VOCs which are a common cause of odours. Methyl Bromide (MeBr): The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the fumigation system.
Waste Water Treatment:
Waste Water: The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel through which the water is pumped. The GAC is regularly backwashed and does not need to be replaced until it is exhausted which may take several years. Stormwater: The granular activated carbon is used as part of a stormwater sand filter constructed specially for stormwater treatment through which the stormwater is flowing. The GAC will remove organic compounds present in the stormwater. Chlorine Removal: Removal of chlorine from municipal water supply to dairy / food processing plant. Removal of chlorine from municipal water supply to a water / beverage bottling plant. Aquatic Centre: The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel through which the water is pumped. The GAC is regularly backwashed and does not need to be replaced until it is exhausted which may take several years.
