This Orku blend is designed for those who craft container candles, tealights or clam shell melts. It handles fragrance oils well and burns cleanly, requiring no additional additives to achieve its performance.
02COMPOSITION
Hydrogenated soy oil base
The core of this wax is hydrogenated soy oil, a vegetable-based foundation that remains stable under heat. A specific soy-based additive is included in the formulation, allowing the mixture to accept higher pour temperatures than standard soy waxes. This composition supports a robust structure while maintaining the natural origin of the material.
04USAGE
Pouring at elevated temperatures
Crafters should aim for a pour temperature between 65 and 80 degrees Celsius. This hotter pour helps mitigate frosting on the surface and allows the wax to hold a higher percentage of fragrance oil, typically between eight and ten percent. Seasonal shifts may require adjusting these figures, so personal testing is recommended for consistent results.

This formulation is tailored for container candles, tealights and clam shell melts. Its viscosity and setting characteristics make it less suited for moulded pillars, where different structural demands apply. It stands alone as a complete medium, needing no further additives to function correctly within these specific forms.

About this product
Easy to use professional grade Golden Wax 464 Soy wax is a hydrogenated soy oil and contains a soy-based additive.ÊIt is 100% pure Soy wax and is a natural alternative vegetable wax and kosher. The soy-based additive enables the soy to be poured at a hotter temperature (around 75 C) helping to reduce frosting and increasing FO percentage (fragrance oil).
It has a lower melt point which helps with the burn and gives better glass adhesion. Suitable for container candles, tealights and clam shell melts. Not suitable for moulds.
This wax does not requite the addition of any other additives.
It is formaldehyde free, natural, not organic, not food grade.
