01FISHING TACKLE
High-speed trolling rigs for the open water
The Swimerz Trolling Lure Rig presents a compact, precise tool for the angler who values reliability on the water. Its blue ocky finish offers a distinct visual identity against the deep sea, while the physical build speaks to function over flash.
Designed for high-speed trolling between two and nine knots, this rig suits both novice and experienced anglers targeting tuna and other predator species. It is ready to cast, requiring no complex assembly before it enters the water.
02MATERIALS
Resin head and soft silicon skirt
The lure body features a resin head housing an inner lead core, a construction that stabilises the swimming action during high-speed retrieval. A soft silicon skirt extends from the rear, enhancing the lifelike movement that attracts big game fish. The combination of rigid structure and flexible appendage creates a dynamic profile in the water column.
DESIGN
Cupped face and double-taper profile
The head’s cupped face and double-taper shape generate a strong head shake as the lure moves through the water. This motion produces a thick bubble trail, a visual cue that maximises attraction from surrounding predators. Life-like 3D eyes are positioned to mimic real prey, further increasing the likelihood of a strike when the rig is trolled at speed.
HARDWARE
Crimped leader and ultra-sharp hook
Each rig includes a 170cm long crimped monofilament leader with a 1.36mm diameter and 250lb breaking strain. This robust connection leads to a single size 8/0 Ultra Sharp hook, chosen for its ability to penetrate tough scales. The setup is built for durability, ensuring the line holds firm even when engaged by powerful predator species.
IN USE
Versatile depth control for all conditions
The rig is compatible with various tackle types and weather conditions, offering consistent performance across different fishing scenarios. Anglers can adjust the depth by adding weights to the rig, allowing effective trolling at speeds ranging from two to nine knots. This versatility makes it suitable for all positions in a lure spread, whether targeting specific depths or covering broad areas of water.
