01FISHING TACKLE

Secure the heavy work

A small but decisive component in any serious angler's kit, this snap sits quietly at the heart of the connection between line and lure. Its compact form belies the substantial force it is built to manage.

Designed for heavier applications, it attaches baits and hooks with a simple action that saves time on the bank or deck. It suits those who need reliability when the water gets rough or the fish get big.

Swimerz German Power Snap, Closed Eye, size 2, 45 pack

MATERIALS

Stainless steel with a dark finish

The core of the snap is stainless steel, chosen for its inherent resistance to the corrosive effects of saltwater and fresh water alike. A black nickel coating covers the metal, adding a layer of protection while giving the tackle a refined, low-glare appearance that blends into the gear rather than distracting from it.

DESIGN

Closed eye for structural integrity

Unlike open-ring connectors, the closed eye design creates a continuous loop of metal. This geometry distributes stress more evenly across the component, ensuring extra strength when a heavy load is applied. It is a structural choice that prioritises reliability over speed, making it suitable for main lines and leads where failure is not an option.

PERFORMANCE

Straight pull for inline rigging

The snap is engineered for inline rigging, meaning it aligns directly with the direction of the pull. This alignment reduces lateral stress on the connection point, keeping the setup stable even when fighting a powerful fish. The result is a secure connection that holds firmly without twisting or slipping out of position.

DETAILS

Size two for twenty-five kilos

This specific size is rated to a 25 kg test weight, placing it in the middle of the range for general heavy-duty use. The pack contains forty-five units, providing ample stock for maintaining multiple rods or replacing worn components. The carton measures 12 by 7 by 1 cm and weighs 0.1 kg, making it easy to store in a tackle box drawer.
