The interior of a desktop tower often holds more potential than it currently uses. An empty expansion slot is simply wasted space, a dark recess waiting for purpose. This accessory reclaims that void, turning dead air into a functional pocket for the small items that clutter your desk.
It serves as a compact storage drawer for frequently used peripherals like flash drives and optical discs. It suits any user who values a tidy workspace and wants their essential digital tools kept close at hand, ready for immediate use.
1x Simplecom SC501 Desktop PC 5.25″ Bay Accessories Storage Box Drawer
02DESIGN
Reclaiming the empty expansion slot
Designed to slide neatly into the standard 5.25-inch bay found on most desktop towers and servers, this unit transforms unused front panel space into active storage. It integrates seamlessly with existing hardware, providing a dedicated home for loose components without requiring external cabling or complex modifications to the case structure.
FUNCTION
Secure storage for small media
Inside, the drawer offers a practical solution for the proliferation of small digital artifacts. Memory cards, USB flash drives, and spare CDs or DVDs find a designated spot, preventing them from getting lost in drawers or tangled in cables. The anti-skidding design ensures that these delicate items remain firmly in position even when the drawer is pulled out during routine maintenance or file transfers.
DETAILS
Stable installation with included hardware
The package includes four screws specifically selected to ensure a stable fit within the computer chassis. This attention to detail means the drawer stays put, resisting the subtle vibrations of running fans or hard drives. The overall package dimensions are 21 x 14 x 7 cm, with a carton weight of 0.5 kg, indicating a lightweight yet sturdy construction suitable for most standard cases.
