01COMPUTER CABLES & ADAPTERS
Precision Power for High Performance GPUs
High-end graphics cards demand substantial energy, yet the space inside a computer case is often tight. This Seasonic cable bridges that gap, delivering robust power without cluttering the build.
Designed for ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 systems, it suits builders who require reliable performance from their hardware. It connects directly to your power supply, ensuring efficient energy transfer to the GPU.
02MATERIALS
Robust Wiring for Heavy Loads
The cable incorporates 16 AWG wires, a gauge selected to manage the significant current draw of modern graphics cards. High-current terminal connectors secure the connection at both ends, reducing resistance and maintaining signal integrity under load. This construction supports the 600 W rating, providing a solid foundation for demanding visual workloads.
DESIGN
Right-Angle Connector for Clearance
A 90-degree angle allows the connector to sit flush against the graphics card’s power input. This orientation helps keep cables tidy within compact cases, preventing them from bulging out or interfering with adjacent components. The form factor prioritises practicality, ensuring the plug engages securely while respecting the limited real estate of the chassis.
COMPATIBILITY
Specific Power Supply Requirements
This cable requires a Seasonic power supply rated at 650 W or higher, such as models from the PRIME, VERTEX GX, PX, SAKURA, or FOCUS series. Crucially, the unit must have two free 8-pin PCIe connectors available. Both connectors on the 12V-2x6 cable must be plugged into the PSU to function correctly, ensuring the full 600 W capacity is accessible when needed.
AT A GLANCE
The key points
- 16 AWG wires handle high current loads with stability
- 90-degree connector design aids clean cable routing
- Requires a power supply rated at 650 W or higher
- Utilises two free PCIe connectors on the PSU
- Compatible with Seasonic PRIME, VERTEX and FOCUS series
SEASONIC 90 12V-2X6 CABLE
Seasonic introduces the 12VHPWR 600 W graphics card cable to power high-performance GPU / graphic cards. This cable can be used with many of our current and past power supplies but with specific compatibility requirements. Please see below for important compatibility information.
A Single Connector To Power Them All
With the arrival of the new ATX 3 / PCIe 5 specifications, some graphic cards will now be powered by the new 12V-2×6 connector. Offering up to 600 W of power, the Seasonic 12V-2×6 cable has been crafted with high quality materials, such as high current terminal connectors and 16 AWG wires to ensure highest performance and safety in usage.
Power supply requirement: 650 W and above
The 12V-2×6 cable that is provided with your Seasonic power supply is rated at 600 W. This means the maximum allowable power pull from the power supply by the VGA can be up to 600 W. If your VGA is very power usage intensive, then please consider power supplies that are rated at 750 W and higher.
Always follow the recommendations of your VGA card manufacturer for the minimum power requirement.
Power supply requirement: 2x PCIe Connectors
- Your power supply must have 2x free PCIe connectors available where the Seasonic 12V-2×6’s 2x PCIe connectors can plug into.
- BOTH 2×8 Pin PCIe connectors of the 12V-2×6 must be connected into the power supply.
- Always follow the recommendations of your VGA card manufacturer for the minimum power requirement.
