01SANDS & SOILS

Ancient shells for modern gardens

A pale, powdery substance drawn from the ancient seabed, this fossil shell flour brings a quiet mineral presence to the garden and the paddock. It sits lightly on soil surfaces and in feed bins, working quietly within the ecosystem of your home or farm.

Designed for livestock, pets and plant crops, it serves as a gentle additive that supports natural pest management without harsh chemicals. It suits those who prefer organic methods for their poultry, cattle or vegetable beds.

02ORIGIN

Mined from the Australian landscape

Sourced directly from local mines, this diatomaceous earth is composed of fossilised shell material. The product arrives as a fine flour, retaining the geological history of its origin while offering a practical agricultural function. Its purity stems from its natural formation rather than industrial processing.

03TEXTURE

Fine particles with varied sizing

The majority of the powder consists of super fine grade particles, ensuring it adheres well to surfaces and mixes easily into water or feed. However, roughly twenty percent of the material contains particles up to two millimetres in size. This variation provides both a smooth application for spraying and a slightly coarser texture for dusting larger areas.

04APPLICATION

Flexible methods for garden and feed

Apply it as a dry dust around outdoor areas, using approximately 250 to 500 grams per 100 square metres. For a liquid treatment, mix 250 grams into four litres of water. In the feed bin, rates vary by animal; for example, dairy cattle receive five percent of their dry feed initially, tapering down to two percent for ongoing maintenance.

05USAGE

Safe for crops and animals

This pure, organic powder can be dusted onto fruit, flower and vegetable crops even on the day of harvest. It works gently on insects without harming the plants or the animals that eat them. A simple caution applies: avoid dusting when bees are active, as the fine powder may interfere with their flight.
