Pure white prills for formulation
A quiet staple in the laboratory and production line, this white granular solid offers precision to those who formulate. Its clean, prilled consistency ensures even distribution in liquid bases.
Designed for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food applications, it suits professionals seeking reliable preservation. It works particularly well alongside potassium sorbate in low pH environments.
Sodium Benzoate in resealable bucket

02MATERIALS
Chemical purity in prill form
The product arrives as a white, granular solid known as prills. This specific physical state distinguishes it from fine powders, offering a distinct texture that is easy to measure and dispense. The chemical identity is clear: sodium benzoate, the sodium salt of benzoic acid, with the formula NaC7H5O2.

04PRACTICALITY
Resealable storage for precise use
Supplied in a 3.5 kg quantity, the material comes packed in a resealable bucket. This packaging helps maintain integrity between uses, keeping the prills dry and ready for the next batch. The carton itself weighs 3.8 kg, accounting for the container and contents combined.

About this product
Sodium Benzoate is widely used as a preservative for cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food/beverage formulations. Benzoic acid, or NaC7H5O2, is considered to be primarily an anti-fungal, but also shows some activity against bacteria.
It is the sodium salt of benzoic acid and exists in the form of white powder/granular solid and is water soluble. Often combined with Potassium Sorbate in low pH products, it provides a synergistic preservative effect against yeast and mould.
