02DESIGN
Precision engineering in a forty millimetre square
The board measures exactly 40 by 40 millimetres, a standard size that simplifies integration into existing chassis or custom enclosures. The blue PCB offers high contrast against the black components, aiding visual inspection during assembly. This uniform geometry ensures consistent mounting hole placement across different project iterations.
04CONNECTIVITY
Rich interfaces for external hardware
Beyond the 10/100 megabit Ethernet port, the board exposes extensive General Purpose Input/Output pins. A 24-pin header provides UART, SPI and I2C access, while a separate 12-pin header adds USB, IR and audio capabilities. A single Type-A USB 2.0 host port allows connection of peripherals like flash drives or sensors.
POWER
Simple DC input for stable operation
The unit draws power via a Micro-USB port configured as On-The-Go, accepting a standard 5 volt 2 amp supply. This common voltage requirement means most laptop chargers or bench supplies will drive the board effectively. The dedicated debug serial port uses a 4-pin header with 2.54 millimetre pitch for low-level console access.
