01NIGHT LIGHTS & AMBIENT LIGHTING
Glowing string light for wine bottles
A slender column of light rises from the neck of a glass vessel, casting a soft, cool glow across darkened surfaces. The silver wire descends into the bottle, transforming an empty container into a luminous centrepiece that invites quiet contemplation.
These battery-operated stoppers are designed for wine, whiskey or beer bottles with standard openings. They suit those who wish to add a layer of ambient warmth to dining tables, patios or festive gatherings without the clutter of cords or plugs.
02MATERIALS
Silver wire and plastic construction
The fixture comprises a flexible silver string supporting twenty LED bulbs, anchored by a plastic cork mechanism. This lightweight assembly ensures the unit remains unobtrusive within the bottle’s neck while providing sufficient structural integrity to hold the light source steady during use.
POWER
Battery operation for cordless placement
Powered by three LR44 batteries, which are included in the package, the unit operates independently of wall sockets. This autonomy allows the bottle to be positioned anywhere, from a central table setting to a distant patio corner, ensuring the light source remains cool to the touch and safe for close proximity.
DETAILS
Cool white glow and spacing
Each of the twenty LEDs emits a cool white light, spaced at regular intervals of 10cm along the two-metre length of wire. The low heat emission characteristic of the LED technology means the string remains comfortable to handle, maintaining its shape and brightness throughout the thirty-hour operational cycle.
