01OUTDOOR PLAY EQUIPMENT
Precision navigation in a brass shell
Resting in the palm, this compact instrument offers a tactile connection to the landscape. The warm tone of the brass contrasts with the dark interior, creating a tool that feels both utilitarian and refined.
Designed for hikers and navigators, it provides accurate directional data through a waterproof, liquid-damped mechanism. The magnetic declination adjustment ensures true north is always within reach, regardless of location.

02MATERIALS
Durable brass with a protective finish
The casing is crafted from gold brass, a material chosen for its weight and durability. A special clear coating shields the surface from scratches, reducing the appearance of tarnish and fingerprints over time. This finish keeps the metallic sheen intact even after extensive handling in rugged environments.

04VISIBILITY
Luminescent markers for low light
When daylight fades, three distinct luminescent dots provide essential guidance. One dot sits at the north end of the needle, while two others rotate with the bezel. These points glow brightly in the dark, allowing for easy orientation and reading without the need for an external light source.
DETAILS
Glove-friendly access and magnetic adjustment
A subtle finger notch on the right side of the lid facilitates opening, a practical consideration for cold-weather use when dexterity is reduced. The internal mechanism can be adjusted to account for local magnetic declination, ensuring the device points to True North rather than just Magnetic North.
AT A GLANCE
The key points
- Gold brass casing with scratch-resistant clear coating
- Liquid-damped capsule rotates 360 degrees smoothly
- Three luminescent dots for nighttime orientation
- Finger notch on lid allows opening with gloves
About this product
Easy-to-read compass card has two degree graduations and 30 degree markers on a waterproof, liquid-damped compass capsule that rotates 360 degrees and can be adjusted to your local magnetic declination angle to find True North.
The bright, glow-in-the-dark luminescent dots are unique and invaluable for nighttime orienting. Besides a luminescent dot on the north end of the compass needle, there are also two luminescent dots that rotate with the compass bezel. The three luminescent dots glow brightly in the dark for easy nighttime reading.
Compass lid equipped with a finger notch (small outward protrusion in the lid, see second picture) just to the right of the ring for easy opening, even with gloves on in cold weather
Unlike most other brass compasses, these compasses have a special scratch resistant clear coating that reduces tarnish and fingerprints on the brass casing
