The tangible sound of Alt-J
A physical record occupies a specific place on the shelf, its multi-coloured surface catching the light in ways a digital file never can. It is an object that invites handling, a tactile companion to the listening experience.
This deluxe edition presents Alt-J's work in standard compact disc form. It suits those who prefer the ritual of inserting a disc and the visual weight of a well-made package.

FORMAT
The physical medium
The album arrives as a standard compact disc, housed within a package measuring eighteen by fifteen by eight centimetres. This modest footprint allows it to sit neatly among other releases without dominating the shelf space, yet it remains substantial enough to feel like a deliberate acquisition rather than a fleeting download.
VISUALS
Multi-coloured presentation
The exterior features a multi-coloured design, moving away from monochrome minimalism to offer a varied visual palette. This approach suggests a richness in the content within, mirroring the complexity of the alternative music contained inside. The colour scheme provides a distinct identity for the collection.
WEIGHT
Substantial presence
Weighing approximately one kilogram, the package has a certain heft that signals quality. It is not feather-light; it possesses a groundedness that makes it satisfying to hold. This weight contributes to the perception of value, reinforcing the idea that this is a premium item intended for careful appreciation.
