Caterpillar Lacing Set

The box holds the caterpillar body, a selection of food items, a length of string and cards representing the days of the week. This complete kit allows the child to assemble the creature and match each segment to a day, turning a simple craft into a structured activity.

Lacing requires precise finger control as the child guides the string through the holes. This repetitive motion strengthens the small muscles in the hand, preparing them for future tasks like writing or buttoning clothes. The process encourages patience and concentration without feeling like work.

By associating each part of the caterpillar with a specific day, the abstract concept of time becomes concrete. Children can physically move the pieces to represent Monday through Sunday, reinforcing memory through touch and visual association rather than rote repetition alone.

The product arrives in a 37 by 30 by 37 centimetre carton weighing approximately 3 kilograms. This compact footprint makes it easy to store in a cupboard or carry to a playgroup, ensuring the components stay together until the next session of creative learning.
