MATERIALS
Coconut fibre meets rubber
The surface is woven from coir, a natural fibre known for its resilience and ability to shed dirt. Beneath this lies a heavy-duty rubber base, providing the necessary grip to keep the mat anchored firmly in place. This combination ensures the piece remains functional as well as decorative, standing up to daily foot traffic without slipping or shifting.
DESIGN
A multi-coloured provincial motif
Rather than a single solid hue, the design employs a multi-colour palette that evokes traditional French Provincial aesthetics. The pattern adds depth and interest to the entryway, turning a utilitarian object into a focal point. The visual complexity complements various interior styles, offering a layer of texture that feels curated rather than generic.
DIMENSIONS
Proportionate size for standard doors
At 60 centimetres long and 40 centimetres wide, the mat covers a practical area just outside the door frame. Its 2-centimetre height provides sufficient thickness to trap debris while remaining low enough not to trip guests. The overall weight of 1 kilogram contributes to its stability, ensuring it stays put even when dragged across by shoes.
