01NIGHT LIGHTS & AMBIENT LIGHTING
Liquid motion in a quiet glass vessel
A still point in the room, this lamp holds a slow, hypnotic rhythm. The black base anchors the composition while the upper vessel glows with shifting forms.
Designed for ambient lighting, it suits those who prefer gentle illumination over direct glare. It transforms a corner into a space for quiet observation.
MATERIALS
Contrasting tones in a single vessel
The design relies on stark contrast. A solid black base provides a dark foundation, while the upper section contains distinct layers of material. Yellow wax sits suspended within a volume of blue liquid. These elements remain separate yet interact constantly, creating a visual depth that static light sources rarely achieve.
IN USE
Heat drives the gentle circulation
Operation is simple and passive. As the internal light source warms the yellow wax, its density changes. This causes the wax to rise and fall through the surrounding blue fluid. The movement is slow and continuous, offering a mesmerising display that requires no interaction once activated.
DETAILS
Precise capacity and compact footprint
The bottle holds exactly 630ml of fluid, providing enough volume for the wax to move freely without crowding. The entire unit packs into a carton measuring 18 x 15 x 8 cm, weighing just three kilograms. This modest size allows it to fit easily on a bedside table or shelf without dominating the surface area.
