ORIGIN
Sourced from the Cerrado region
Babacu trees grow wild in Brazil’s savannah, bearing thousands of fruits annually. The round, brownish pods fall to the ground when ripe, revealing oleaginous seeds. From these seeds, the oil is extracted, retaining the natural properties of the fruit while offering a versatile base for skincare.
TEXTURE
Lightweight application, rapid absorption
Unlike heavier oils, this formulation melts on contact with the skin. It penetrates deeply rather than sitting on the surface, avoiding any greasy or sticky sensation. The result is a smoothing effect that feels immediate and clean, allowing subsequent products to layer easily without friction.
COMPOSITION
Lauric acid for emollient support
The serum is rich in lauric acid, a component also found in coconut oil but here presented in a lighter vehicle. This composition supports the skin’s barrier function, providing emollient action that helps restore hydration. It is particularly suited to areas where the skin feels tight or lacks suppleness.

About this product
Babacu (Orbignya oleifera) is a large palm tree native to Brazil, found in the Cerrado region (Brazilian savannah), bearing at least 2.000 fruits per year. The fruit is round and brownish and when ripe, it breaks off and falls to the ground. Its seeds are oleaginous, containing about 65% of oil, with great potential for economic use. From the palm, everything is useful. Its leaves are used to cover roofs and its fibers are used for handmade crafts such as baskets, screens and gifts.
The Babacu oil, extracted from the fruit seeds, is rich in lauric acid and has an important emollient action being a great alternative to coconut oil, also rich in lauric acid content.
The Babacu oil, extracted from the fruit seeds, is rich in lauric acid that, due to the low molecular weight, shows great compatibility with the hair fiber. It helps to restore hydration in regions where there has been disruption of the peptide chain.
The BabaÃu oil is light and melts rapidly, penetrating deeply into the skin without leaving a greasy and sticky feel. It displays emollient properties promoting deep hydration and a smoothing effect.
