FORMAT
The enduring appeal of the compact disc
Choosing a physical medium signals a commitment to the ritual of listening. The CD format provides a consistent audio signal, free from compression artifacts, allowing the nuances of the recording to remain intact. For the collector, it is a discrete object that can be displayed, handled and played repeatedly without degradation.
DESIGN
Visual identity through multi-colour presentation
The sleeve features a multi-coloured aesthetic, moving away from monochrome minimalism to offer a vibrant visual hook. This choice suggests a dynamic range within the music itself, promising variety and energy. The artwork acts as a first point of contact, drawing the eye before the needle drops or the laser reads the disc.
