Calibrated gaps for selective passage
The grid relies on a simple biological distinction: worker bees are physically smaller than queens and drones. The holes are spaced to create a threshold that permits workers to climb through to the honey supers, yet presents a barrier too narrow for the larger reproductive members of the colony.

Measuring approximately 51 cm by 41 cm, the unit fits standard ten-frame hive bodies. The packing carton measures 51 x 45 x 1 cm and weighs 0.43 kg, indicating a lightweight profile that is easy to handle during hive inspections or seasonal adjustments.

Simple cleaning after harvest
After removing the honey supers, the excluder can be easily cleaned to remove residual wax or debris. Its flat, grid-like structure prevents clogging, ensuring it remains ready for immediate reuse when you reassemble the hive for the next production cycle.
